KOT ADDU: A Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) candidate contesting the local bodies elections for the position of councillor chopped off a man’s ear for not casting vote in his favor, ARY News reports.
According to details, the PML-N candidate cut off the ear of the man named Naeem for not voting for him in the local government elections. He was admitted in a local medical facility.
Police has not yet managed to arrest the culprits on which he had lodged a protest.
Punjab’s Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that action will be taken against the responsible persons according to the law. He has ordered the concerned authorities to file the case and arrest the culprits within 24 hours.
It is not the first time that such an incident has taken place. Activists of a political party had cut off an elderly man’s nose and ear over not voting for their candidate in Rajanpur whereas workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had inked a couple’s faces over not casting votes.
