NAB sets up corruption inquiry against Punjab minister


LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab has kicked off corruption investigations against Punjab Minister for Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, Rana Mashhood, ARY News reported.

Mashhood is alleged of corruption worth billions of rupees in Punjab Sports Festival, along with exceeding powers.
A spokesperson for NAB Punjab told that officials have seized complete record of Punjab Sports Festival, while sources said a high-level inquiry against Rana Mashhood has been set up.
Mashhood was also alleged of demanding money for his party from a man named Malik Asim, who owns a visa consultancy firm.
NAB has also started probing the matter which came into light after surfacing of a footage in which Mashhood allegedly demanded money from Asim at latter’s residence.
